Released by the country of Niue through the New Zealand Mint, this coin was struck in celebration of the 75th anniversary of the iconic character Batman. This Caped Crusader was first introduced to the masses in 1939 where the character quickly gained popularity and now stands as one of the most recognizable DC heroes to ever be created.

• Ian Rank-Broadley's portrait of Queen Elizabeth II appears on the obverse of this coin this is the fourth definitive effigy released by the Royal British Mint of Queen Elizabeth II since 1953.
• Depicted on the reverse is Batman in a crouched position no doubt looking down on the city of Gotham, behind him is the Batman logo and the lettering, "75 YEARS OF BATMAN" and the year of release "2014."
