Detective Comics #27 is a comic book known for the debut of the iconic superhero, Batman. This comic, as evidenced by the date in the top right, debuted in May of 1939. Due to Batman becoming a household name this comic book has gained notoriety as one of the most valuable comic books of all time. One was sold at an auction in 2022 for $1.74 million.
